  1. This is a lovely and feminine fragrance. It’s very much a floral, but doesn’t make me think “fresh” as in the description because it’s a heavy scent. I don’t dislike it, but if I had smelled it in the store first I most likely wouldn’t have purchased just because it is such a heavy floral. It’s perfect for special occasions or formal functions. Maybe it’ll grow on me.

Edit Update: after using it for about 2 weeks I must admit that I absolutely love it now. The heavy top notes dissipate and it becomes a beautifully feminine scent. I only purchased the small bottle but I’ve now ordered the refill.

  2. Not very good at describing perfume but I spray a little on after each shower, and just love it. It’s not too floral or too sweet. I’m 84 and widowed so I just wear it to please myself. It lasts very well.
My opinion is that it is worth the money.

  3. My all time favorite perfume! It’s fruity and floral all at once. It has a nice clean scent that lasts for hours. I layer this with the Idôle hair and body spray to make it pop more.

  4. I’m sure Lancome doesn’t need my help describing this perfume, but…
This was a blind buy. I’m not typically into floral scents and it was a small bottle, at a really great price. How to describe this… It’s like walking through a field of flowers with a light breeze rustling your freshly washed hair in your face(your shampoo also smells amazing, like sweet caramel). The smell is so beautiful it could make you cry. Yeah, weird. Or…You just showered and put on your favorite vanilla colored silk pajamas and slide into freshly washed crisp percale floral sheets. By the bedside, is a cup of tea, sweetened with maple. Yeah, weird again. This is a soft, lovely perfume. Spray on the back of your knees and lower back. You’ll smell it softly throughout the entire day.

  5. It actually smells like it’s description which was a surprise. I am very pleased with the scent. It isn’t at all heavy but you know it’s there. It is soft and fresh. I wish the bottle was better designed especially for the price of such a small amount. They made the bottle look like it is giving more when it is just so skinny it can’t stand on it’s own. Uou can slip it inside a pocket in your purse and it won’t take up any room. Some may find that a plus but It will fall over on a table so I have to sit it next to other things to keep it propped up. That’s annoying.

  6. Smells like an older lady perfume. Lol. I didn’t realize it was the “rose” version. Giving to my mother in law! Doesn’t smell bad just very strong.

  7. Love the Lancôme perfumes. This one is La Vie Rose. It’s strong but has a sweet undertone. It’s femine but powerful and last the entire day. A small amount goes a long way.

  8. Beautifully packaged in La Vie style glass bottle. I love the distinct smell of freshly cut Roses and the longevity of its scent. It is not the cheapest of Lancôme’s scents but given its long lasting distinctive smell it’s best used sparingly. Too much and it could be described as overpowering and sickly particularly in enclosed spaces. Pricing, expensive but I think it’s worth it. Put it on your wish list for those days when you want to be noticed because you will be. It attracts many a positive response from complete strangers, the majority of which are men, though women as well have stopped me in the street, the supermarket and a variety of locations to ask me, positively what perfume I am wearing. That says to me that it is special and I feel special wearing it.
