If you’ve ever dramatically peeled off an underwire bra at 6 p.m. and audibly sighed with relief, you already know why I embarked on this quest. I’ve spent the better part of two decades battling the Great Bra Compromise: you can have support, or you can have comfort, but rarely both in the same garment. The straps dig, the band rolls up into a sweaty rope by 2 p.m., and don’t get me started on what happens after you’ve washed a $70 “revolutionary” bra three times and it looks like something you’d use to strain pasta.

Finding a bra that feels comfortable all day without sacrificing support can be frustrating—especially for women with larger busts, sensitive skin, or changing body shapes. Many wireless bras feel too loose, while traditional underwire bras can dig into the ribs, leave marks, and become uncomfortable after a few hours.
